The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McKesson in Nov 2009
Interview
The interview process first consisted of receiving a phone interview by the supervisor. She asked me about my past work experience and also told me about the position that they were hiring for. I wish she would have explained more details of the daily expectations and tasks that are involved in completing that job, because had I have known, I would not have accepted.
The job is basically sitting behind a computer placing ostomy, wound care, urological and diabetic supply orders for nursing homes.
After my phone interview, I had a 2nd and 3rd round of interviews, each with 2 people. The 2nd round consisted of answering the behavior based questions of "tell me about a time..." and that lasted about 45 minutes or so. The 3rd round was about 15 minutes and was with two senior people. They asked three quick questions and they were super easy and then one of them left and the other finished and I was on my way.
Manageable, but not over the top. Similar to a pharma interview. I needed to close the hiring manager. There were 4 interviews in total and 1 field ride. The interview process took 3 weeks.
I applied online. I interviewed at McKesson (Richmond, VA) in Jul 2025
Interview
I applied with my resume for an interesting position with an attractive pay range. Gia, the AI assistant, helped schedule a Teams interview. The recruiter was clearly reading from a script with a checklist, and when I answered everything positively, I was told the top of the pay range was significantly less than what was advertised.
It was an average interview. Same questions you would be asked for any similar position at another company. Hiring manager was friendly enough, but it seemed like they were somewhere else mentally.
