I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Medivet (Watford, East of England, England) in July 2019.

    Interview

Applied online through Medivets Careers webpage and I received an email to say they wanted to progress with my application. I then had a phone screening with the area manager before being invited to a face to face interview. The interview took place at the Medivet Support Centre with the area manager. After 2 weeks I was offered a trial day at one of the local branches to get an insight and meet the teams.

    Copywriter Interview

    Anonymous Employee
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medivet.

    Interview

The process consisted of three stages: an initial interview, a writing task and a second interview.
The whole process was relaxed and fairly informal, the first being with my prospective line managers and the second including the head of department. It felt like they were more trying to get to know me as opposed to quizzing me on my employment history.
The task was pretty straightforward, nothing that I found too difficult and I completed in it roughly two hours at home.
    Overall a very good experience.

    Interview

Medivet have their own internal recruitment team who help manage the smooth running of the interview process and keep you regularly updated on the stages of your progress. This very friendly team made me feel at ease as they are with you every step of the way and try to understand you as a person, rather than a candidate number.

I had three interviews, which were well organised and lasted around 40 minutes each.

The questions delivered after my presentation were appropriate to the role and the interviewers were polite and approachable and genuinely wanted to get to know about your expectations, goals and outside interests. They made the whole process seem less intimidating and leaving you wanting to join the Medivet family.

I was notified that I got the job by the end of the interview week. This is very good considering some companies can leave you in the dark for a long time.

My only criticism is that I would have liked to have known how many interview stages there would be from the beginning. However, I understand that second interviews are likely etc. and this is sometimes out their control.

Overall, I was very happy with the interview process and highly recommend contacting the recruitment team if you are interested in a role.
