      Interview

Did phone interview first, then was called in for a face to face with hiring mangers. They were very welcoming and laid back. I pass that interview and was asked to speak with a VP, once that was complete I was asked to speak with a Chief underwriter

      Interview

Didn't do too well on the third/final interview, so I'm going to write this for you, future applicants, so you can do better than I did. I will SAVE you some time to secure a position for this great company. Interview format: Each video interview is 30minutes except for the third/final round which should apparently take about an hour (mine was about 40mins). They are all heavily STAR behavior based questions so make sure to prepare 2-3 stories that you can use to demonstrate your skills. Each interview will have 10 questions. After you've answered all their questions, they will ask if you have any questions, or the other way around. So make sure to have questions ready; what do you genuinely want to know about the position and the work environment? Interviewers: 1. Pre-interview is a phone screening with HR 2. First interview is with HR. 3. Second interview is with service director. 4. Third/Final interview is a paneled interview with the underwriting manager (hiring manager) and underwriting consultant. They will alternate with their questions, totaling up to 10 questions. Timespan: After each interview, they should get back to you within 2 days to schedule the next one. Each interview is about one week from each other. My second and third/final interview were two weeks apart due to Easter. After the final interview, it should take about a week or two to get back from an HR. If you got it, you should expect a phone call sooner. Tips: - Questions are very general and mostly about how you answer them. - Make sure to take your time and pause in between your thoughts when answering questions. (Stay composed) - Make personal connections with your interviewers! At the end of the day, not only does your skills and experience matter, but also how well you fit in the company. - Visualize the interview; see yourself succeeding in the interview - Set your intention of wanting the job by knowing the company well and the position you're applying for. Doing this research allows you to come up with more questions to ask your interviewers. - Ask genuine questions that shows your desire for the position. - Prepare. Prepare. Prepare. Write down the following interview questions you see here and answer them. Do it until you are concise. Overall, I did pretty well on the first two and I enjoyed speaking with the interviewers. They made me feel at eased in the interview. My last one, I wasn't the best candidate as I wasn't as concise with my answers. The hiring manager was sick as well which could have contributed to the low energy of the interview. It was very bland and couldn't make personal connections with them. They asked their questions, I asked mine, then they told me what to expect from there. There wasn't that leading sensation of proceeding to the next step.
