1) Interview with HR
2) Interview with Co-Founder
3) Case Study with Co-Founder
The first two steps were a pleasant get-to-know interview.
In the third step the interviewer sent me an one-page case-study expecting me to create a whole financial model and building an equity story base on a one-pager. I have requested further information which were very vague "1-2 pages per question and several hours are expected to invest"
I invested 3-4h of time to create the groundwork and submitted the outline to both questions, This was not sufficient enough and the interviewer decided to cancel the Case Study last-minute.
To this day, I've never came across to such an open-fielded case study. This obvisiously will give the company a very detailed impression of your skillset, but you need to invest a lot of time do this.
Positively I must say they took the time to give me detailed feedback and explain me what they expected in the case study, i.e. I should made & explain assumptions, financial projections, FTE planning, financial structure forecaset, financing forecaset.
