A day-long group interview: Overview of the company and its history. Two paired coding exercises. One hour of shadowing a coding team. About an hour lecture on Agile/Scrum as it seems to be a new thing/concept for them. Company provided lunch.
Both coding exercises were somewhat rushed and contributed to nervousness. Impossible to complete entirely in the time allowed. Interface for the exercise was extremely clunky, would be better to just have a problem to solve on paper and have the candidate use their IDE/lang of choice. Even something like codepen would be better.
Requested feedback from hiring manager on reason for non-selection, none provided. Hired two colleagues though so that's nice, happy for them. Seems like a nice small close-knit company, wouldn't apply again though.
