My first interview with this company went smoothly. The interviewers seemed very kind and pleasant to talk to. However, the questions felt quite generic — almost as if they had asked ChatGPT "what questions to ask a designer in an interview" and simply followed that list without tailoring it to the role or my background.
After the interview, I was given a test assignment to redesign part of their current product. I submitted it within the required timeframe, but just two hours later, I received a generic rejection email with no feedback at all.
I find this approach disrespectful to candidates who invest time and effort in completing a task. Providing no feedback, especially after a test assignment, shows a lack of professionalism and consideration. Based on this experience, I would not recommend working with this company.
