The role was located in Paris. Here are the steps I went through:
- recruiter reached out
- recruiter call
- live coding (python, not leetcode-style but involves choosing a suitable data structure)
- system design (LLM related system, but not focused on the inference part)
- hiring manager: project presentation (high throuput system)
All the interviewers were kind and helpful. Scheduling the interviews is very convenient (you pick a time slot and get an interviewer immediately). Rejected at HM round for lack of experience on high throuput systems, even though it should have been clear earlier on from resume that I am more of a python lib and scientific computations engineer. Very nice experience overall nonetheless.

Premier entretien avec un recruteur pour partager ma situation, le poste et me poser quelques questions basiques d'évaluation technique.
La suite du process m'est alors annoncée : des entrevues avec un hiring manager puis un entretien technique. Aussitôt un email pour me confirmer la suite et me présenter la personne de l'entretien suivant.
Silence radio depuis, malgré plusieurs relances en 3 mois.
Après tout, pas étonnant de se prendre un vent d'une boite s'appelant mistral.

Quelle est la dernière fois que vous avez codé sans l'aide d'un agent IA ?
I submitted a project via GitHub and then had an initial call with HR. During the call, she told me that I would be moved to the next round. However, after that, I got ghosted. After three weeks, I sent a fourth follow-up email, and she finally replied that unfortunately they decided to move forward with other candidates. But why would they tell me I passed to the next round and then ghost me?
