I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Moniepoint (Lagos) in Mar 2025
Interview
It was 4 technical rounds. There were discrepancies between what was written in the job description vs what happened.
The first round was supposed to be a get-to-know-you session, but instead, I was asked technical questions about how forms work and how the client and server communicate.
The second round was a hackerrank test of 6 questions and about 106 mins timing. It had MCQ, a CSS grid question, and a question around input fields in React. The questions themselves weren't hard but getting the test cases to pass was a but tricky.
The third round was technical as well, which was expected. It was a 45 minute round of theoritical questions around JS and its event loop, design patterns and SOLID principles. It also had a live coding round.
The forth round was supposed to be a Executive/Behaviourial round, as said it the description but it ended up being another 45 minute technical round. Here, the discussion involved disceting the best product you have worked on. The questions get very technical too.
Its unfortunate that i was rejected after these 4 rounds but what was a bit annoying was the generic rejection. I would expect that after 4 rounds, i would at least get a detailed reason as to why i'm being rejected. Hard to believe it was a skill issue because then i should have been rejected earlier.
Also, i'd recommend reducing the number of rounds or, at least, reducing the time taken to complete the interview process. Mine spanned across 3 weeks and the anxiety that came with it was nerve wrecking.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Data structure and algorithm. That was the first question. Something around queue and linked list
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Moniepoint in Jun 2025
Interview
I had the opportunity to get invited to take their coding test on hackerrank but i couldn't get at least 60 percent on the tests which made me not able to move forward. I just hoped that there would be like an human review but i had to make sure my code followed suit with their test cases. That's why i didn't make it. I'd try better next time
