I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at NHS (Swindon, Wiltshire, South West England, England) in Feb 2015
Interview
Quick and easy (for BANK staff). The interview lasted about 10 minutes.
The maths and English test were very basic, although you don't have a lot of time and you have to score really high so there's no room for errors. A few people failed, but most of them were from a non english background.
I pretty much knew I got the Job at the very start of the interview. I gathered this was because they are so short staffed and willing to take pretty much anyone with experience.
Most of the questions were about my availability, uniform size, etc. There were some questions about infection control and safeguarding I think though.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What size Uniform do you need?
When can you start?
How many hours do you want?
Would you be interested in going permanent?
What do you know about infection control?
What is safeguarding?
What do you think the Job involves?
(basic questions that you would be asked in any health and social care role i.e. for a care home)
