NeoVac interview questions

First stage interview was not an actual interview, just a few HR questions. Second interview was a chat with an office lead, who introduced me with the idea and accomplishments of the company. Also briefed me that there were a lot of head-strong and opinionated people and asked if I would be okay with it, which sounded like a red flag. Finally, got invited for an in person interview, they asked me to prepare a presentation. One of the interviewing people, at a very high position in the company, did not listen to my presentation and started doing something on his laptop. I got asked very condescending questions, such of them being “why did you even come here?”. They also insulted my previous research, saying that it made no sense without even having a full picture on what I was doing. It was humiliating experience, I would avoid this company and the people that work here.

I was contacted by a recruiter regarding this role and applied as it seemed like a good fit. Had a 30 minute Teams call with the CTO and VP of technology, where I was asked over and over again about my experience in the field, even after I gave an in-depth explanation of my previous work, which closely aligned with the requirements for the role. Once they eventually moved on, I was quite rudely asked if I had applied to the role on purpose. Got a call from the recruiter a week later and was told my application had been put on hold while the company interviewed more candidates but I withdrew the application as I did not feel I was treated with respect.
