I applied for this role in early December and was contacted about a month later, in January, for an introductory call with a recruiter. During that conversation it was emphasized that the company values people who thrive in high-performance environments and are comfortable in what was described as an “uncomfortably exciting” culture.
After that, I moved on to an interview with the hiring manager, who was based in the US. Unfortunately, the experience during this call was disappointing. The hiring manager joined the meeting late without acknowledging it. As the interview was conducted while they were working from home, there were multiple background distractions and noise, which made it difficult to focus on the conversation. Additionally, the hiring manager spent much of the call handling an anti-stress ball and did not appear particularly engaged with the conversation or camera.
The questions asked were quite vague, and the overall tone of the interview felt somewhat serious and detached. Following this conversation, I never received any feedback or response despite sending multiple follow-up emails.
Overall, the lack of communication and the interview experience left a very negative impression regarding the hiring process and candidate experience.
