Even though I will be working in a different jurisdiction, I was told that I would be working under lawyers in China. I was supposed to be the only lawyer in the country, but I still had my first meeting with a Junior lawyer. The Junior lawyer’s English was very poor, and I had difficulty understanding the words. When he struggled with English, he started speaking much faster.
