The job interview for a finance role felt surprisingly easy-going, with a conversational tone rather than intense questioning. The interviewer focused on understanding my thought process, technical basics, and real-world application, making the overall experience comfortable and engaging rather than stressful.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you walk me through your previous job experience and explain how it has prepared you for this finance role, particularly in handling financial analysis, reporting, or decision-making?
informal, questions posted was a lot about managing boss and negative experience when sales is not met. overall people seem nice despite the rather casual encounter. interview did not last very long
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nutrition Asia Group (Singapore) in Jan 2025
Interview
I should have read the company reviews here before accepting the interview. The first interview with HR was promising and discussed a lot about my past experiences and my capabilities. A few days later, HR contacted me that I was selected for the 2nd interview and need to prepare a presentation.
The 2nd interview was supposed to be 2 hours. The interviewer came late for interview about 20 mins and told me that she needs hard stop in 40 mins time. The interviewer apologised and mentioned that she was speaking with the boss earlier hence she was late for the interview which was still ok. She seems like a nice person.
Obviously I didn’t get a chance to complete my presentation and interview was cut short as she needs to leave. Mentioned that HR will contact me regardless if I will be selected or not for the 3rd round interview but 3 weeks later, still no news.
Most of questions in the interview were not much related to technical marketing or marketing strategies. They were more about stakeholder management especially with the boss and how I will react to sudden changes to marketing plans. The company also gave me an impression that they are a bit disorganised and really need a marketing person to setup marketing strategies. Good luck if you are planning to join this company.
