OMass Therapeutics interview questions

Applied in July, no cover letter despite them saying they would not respond to applications without cover letter. (Was applying on last day before deadline, and filled in the box in which they asked me to sum up why I was applying to this job.) They got back to me in October and invited me to a video interview. Good interview (reasonable questions/info and pleasant interaction), they told me more about the company and role, asked me to briefly introduce my background, asked about experience and motivation. Told me that the job involved a lot of routine lab work and asked several times whether this is something I would like to do - I said not longer-term. Was rejected two days later.
