      Interview

Round 1: An initial screening with the recruiter to cover general background and basic expectations. Round 2: A deep-dive online session with the supervisor focusing on technical skills and project management. Key topics included handling stress and deadlines, managing blockers, and knowing when to escalate issues. You also touched on navigating multicultural dynamics and your experience presenting to top-level management. Round 3: A casual, in-person meeting with the team. This was a soft-skills "vibe check" centered on friendly conversation and specific highlights from your CV to see how you’d mesh with the group day-to-day.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How do you use Python and SQL together to clean and process data for a project? In Power BI, when would you choose to perform a transformation in Power Query (M) versus using a DAX calculated column? Can you describe a complex SQL query you wrote to solve a specific business problem? How do you optimize a DAX measure that is running slowly in a large report? How do you prioritize your tasks when you have multiple competing deadlines? Tell me about a time a project was delayed. How did you handle the communication and the workload? Can you give an example of a "blocker" you hit in a project and how you moved past it? What is your process for deciding a problem is serious enough to escalate to management? Describe your experience presenting data insights to top management. How do you simplify technical findings for them? How do you handle working in a multicultural team where communication styles might differ?
