I applied online. I interviewed at Ohio Ambulance (Cincinnati, OH) in Apr 2019
Interview
No assessment of clinical knowledge or skill, no assessment of ability to meet physical demands of the job.
Consists primarily of googled "interview questions"
Many deceptive statements made regarding what the job entails.
If you're called for an interview, you're hired. And the only applications which don't proceed to interview are those that are not qualified (professional licensure required and we verify before interview). If you interview, you will almost certainly receive an offer. Assuming you pass the whiz quiz, you'll be hired. No need to demonstrate any clinical competency.
Assume that 90% of what you're told about the job is exaggerated or an outright lie.

Question 1
Expect any question you might see upon googling "interview questions". "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" "What made you want to do this?"
Laid back. Informative. You could tell the interviewer cared a lot about whether I would be happy there. I got a tour of the base and he showed me the ambulances I would be working in. I also got to meet a couple of the current employees.

Interview
You apply online and within a week you get to sit down for an interview. Interview only took about 10 minutes but the paperwork and drug/background check takes about a week.
