I saw a poster on the shop display with information to enquire about jobs. I emailed the address on the poster and received an interview the following week. The interview was conducted beneath the shop floor.

Question 1
How would you deal with a customer unhappy with the packing of their items?
Informal interview but more like a chat to get to know who you are and the hours or days you want to work.The manager explained the background of the store and then told me my start date.
It was straightforward because it was a volunteer job, but the manager asked me a lot to of questions behind my motivation for the role. She then allowed me to ask lots of questions back.

Easy Just politely enquire about volunteering in your local shop. I did this for Duke of Edinburgh and have been here since school. No salary though which is obviously a down side. Managers are nice and customers mostly friendly
