Unethical Hiring Practice – Be Cautious I interviewed at P G Wee Partnership and was offered a position with a promised salary of SGD 3.2k under an Employment Pass (EP), which both parties agreed upon. As part of the process, I was required to complete a background check through a certified agency, fully at my own expense. After completing and paying for the verification, they suddenly informed me they could not proceed with the EP application and revised the offer to SGD 2.5k under a Work Permit instead. On top of that, they also expected me to bear the levy cost — which is typically the employer’s responsibility. They simply said “sorry” and refused to reimburse the cost I paid for transcript verification. This felt extremely unfair and misleading. Be very cautious before accepting any offer here.
