I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group (Philadelphia, PA) in Aug 2012
Interview
got an call from recruiter, after a phone interview, followed by a face to face interview with branch manager, then received another call to negotiate compensation. The whole procedure was slow, took about a month, but everyone involved were very nice. You will need to get drug test before on board.

More about your personality, no very difficult questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group in Nov 2013
Interview
My initial contact with PNC was a phone interview with the H.R. Department. I didn't answer the phone so the HR person left me a voice mail with instructions on how to schedule my phone interview. They emailed me a link to a website to schedule the interview. Scheduling the first interview was pretty easy but the first opening wasn't for a couple weeks. The first interview was brief (maybe 10 minutes long) with basic questions about interest in the job. The next day PNC sent me a follow up email to schedule a second phone interview (similar to before). Once I clicked the link to the site the second phone interviewer's schedule wasn't open for over a month at the earliest. I scheduled it anyway while continuing to look for another job. The second interview came and I thought it went really well, however, even though HR knew how much salary I was asking for (because it was on my application and I made it clear during the first interview) PNC wasn't willing to pay me what I was asking. The salary I was asking for wasn't even unreasonable, I came to the number by comparing how much other banks pay hourly employees vs. how much experience I have, and their pay was $3.00 less per hour. The phone interview ended with the HR person telling me that the branch manager would contact me if he/she was interested. Needless to say no one ever did or even emailed me to say that they weren't interested.

Question 1
None really, they were all questions about helping customers, suggestive sales, and experience questions.
