I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group (Fairfax, VA) in Jan 2015
Interview
applied online one branch. Got a call about a week or two later for another branch. The first interview was on the phone with the recruiter regarding the job description and whether or not I would be able to work/commute etc. About a day later, got another call scheduling the one on one interview at a local branch. Went to the one on one interview. Turns out that a branch manager will conduct the interview and so I felt good about getting the job. No. There's a second interview at the main branch. Go to the interview with both the branch manager and the teller supervisor. Did not feel well about the second interview. Next day get a call saying that I did not get the position. Next week I get a call saying that I did get the position. Turns out you have to be good looking to get the position. (I was told that the guy who actually got the job before me turned down the offer and the sole reason was this. Not making this up people.) Eh.. I got the second hand job.
All AI and no real people. Made you do a round of interviews that were one way and then made you do a videogame test that wasted your time. It's clear this company does not care to hire real people to talk to you.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Imagine you are in a situation where you have to make an important decision quickly. To make the decision, you gather information from multiple sources, but you notice that the information seems inconsistent or confusing. How would you approach this situation? Please describe the actions you would take.
You apply online. Then do a video HireVue interview. Which is where you record yourself answering about 9 questions and have 2 attempts doing so. Fairly easy, situational questions, but a little annoying for people who have never recorded themselves before. After that, a recruiter calls you for an in person interview. Which is pretty much answering the same questions you answered during the video interview. Then it’s the waiting game. They will continue conducting a million interviews even if you had banking experience and did well on your interview. So right now I am waiting for a call back to see if I got the position. My recruiter for my region in particular was very nice and easy to speak with. I’m currently waiting and hoping for the best now.

Interview
Straight forward interview. They asked general behavioral and technical questions, along with a few questions to get to know the interviewee better. It took a little while to hear back after first round though.
