I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Patrin Pharma in Apr 2024
Interview
I applied for this position on March 5, 2024 and was contacted by the hiring manager via a call. I mentioned that I was unable to move to Chicago and also stated my salary requirements, which didn't seem an impediment for the hiring manager.
On March 29th, the hiring manager contacted me and mentioned she will have HR set up an interview with "another person at Patrin.” This virtual interview was set up for April 4th at 2pm CT and the person didn’t show up; instead, he called me an hour later to say he forgot. I went ahead with the meeting, during which the interviewer asked me about how I would do many different tasks. It seemed a lot more than evaluating my knowledge.
On April 19th I received another message from the hiring manager and had a call with her on April 24th. Instead of an offer, she told me that they are now looking at "contract" type position, that my salary requirements were too high, and that they are a small company, etc. I asked how much they were willing to offer for the contract position and how many hours would they need. She didn't have a number in mind for the hourly rate, nor did she mention the type of tasks she wanted someone to perform in this capacity. She did say she wanted someone for only 20 hours per week. During this conversation she asked many questions, such as which customers I would reach out to, their exact titles, how I would go about analyzing the business, all very specific questions, a lot more than one would need to evaluate a candidate’s competencies. Frankly, it seemed more like free consulting than an actual interview.
Then I've noticed they reposted the position and it was the same day I had the last conversation with the hiring manager (April 24th).
First round there were over 60 people who applied for the position. Now there are other 39 candidates according to LinkedIn.
I don't think this company is serious.

Interview
I applied for the job on Indeed and received a phone call. The manager of the company called me and took an hour for asking multiple questions regarding the previous job, I answered all of them and tried to know about the company abit.
Next day I received the call from the MD of patrin pharma and asked almost the same questions as it was a test.
They called me for live interview and I went for the interview.
It was interesting that the MD who was taking my interview was not having the job description for what he was taking interview, while the other person was also not knowing the daily work they want to take from new employee.
Its a super confused company.
After the interview I followed up but no response.
