I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Paychex in Nov 2012
Interview
I apply for this position on a Wednesday then I recieved an email from the recruiter that Thursday sending me a link to the assessment. That email was follow by another email stating she was impress with my resume and will like to speak to me further. I had not completed the assessment but decided to do so before I waste both of our time. I email her Thursday to advise I had completed the assessment and set up a time that Friday to do a phone interview. The phone interview lasted 30 minutes she basically ask me question about my job history, why I was leaving my job, etc. She was impress with my test score and told me I did a great job which of course is elementary math. It went well told me my resume will be forward to the hiring manager. A week later got an email from her stating they were still conducting phone interviews and if selected the hiring manager will contact me directly. I has been a month now and still nothing. At this point I am not sure if I wanted it because my degree is in HR and she made the postion sound like the type of payroll have nothing to do with HR but more about state and federal taxes. I am looking for something more dealing with FMLA, leaves, etc.

Question 1
Describe a time when you made a mistake and how you handled it
I had two interviews. First one was with one manager and the second was with two other managers. The interview s lasted about 30 minutes each. They asked about my payroll background and several questions that started out with, "tell me about a time..."
Very simple. A round table interview with scenario-based questions. They ask mostly about previous interactions with co-workers as well as customers. It is a customer service job and you are dealing with payroll which can get very overwhelming
