A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn and we scheduled an initial phone screening. During our phone screening, the recruiter was very professional, informative and helpful -- this hasn't been my experience with other companies/recruiters, so I was very pleasantly surprised. We talked for about 30 minutes, she made sure to answer all of my questions and then she sent an email with a link to the application and an overview of everything that we had talked about. I was very eager to get the interview process started, but unfortunately they decided to close the NYC opening until further notice. I was pretty bummed upon hearing the news, but my recruiter (Tawni) assured me that we would stay in touch and reconnect as soon as another opening becomes available. Tawni and I have stayed in touch and I would say we connect at least once a week. I wasn't actively looking when she reached out so it's not like I'm in a hurry, but I am very excited about the possibility of working for Paycom, so I really appreciate the transparency and open communication that she has continued to provide me while I wait for an opening! Overall, the process so far has been great... Despite the lack of an active opening... And I look forward to continuing through to the next steps of the interview process at some point in the near future!

Had a 30 minute phone interview with a recruiter for HQ for the Implementation Representative position. The interviewer seemed very unprofessional asking untraditional, personal questions that did not relate to the position I applied for.
