Paytient interview questions

I had a phone screen interview for a Product Design role and was told I did great — no red flags, and that I should expect to move to the next step in the process. They even let me know to look out for the next email. Less than 48 hours later, I received a generic rejection email from the company. It was confusing and disappointing, especially after such positive feedback.

I completed a 20-30 min recruiter screening call, and the next step was for a designer to review my resume/portfolio in 24 hours to decide if they wanted to interview me. I received an automated rejection email two days later, so a designer probably decided to pass on me. I'm not sure if their hiring process is the most efficient use of everyone's time.
