I applied through university. I interviewed at Profitect in Dec 2018
Interview
Applied through university job platform and was invited to do a phone interview. Phone interview was fairly standard, mostly consisting of questions about projects completed, basic assessment of ML models, and a case scenario. Afterwards, I asked about their timeline/process and was told they'd follow up in a week or so. Never heard back again - wish they at least closed the loop on it.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Profitect (Burlington, MA) in May 2019
Interview
I applied online. I got an email from an employee in 2 days for a technical phone interview the next day. The interviewer was rude and inexperienced. It sounded like she is asking questions from a textbook. She tried to hang up the call since I could not answer a question. I have 10 years of research experience in a quantitative research field and programming. I don't think I could remember the exact definitions of concepts. I believe the HR or the upper management should take a bit more care when assigning an interviewer to interviewee. At least should check the experience.
