A few days after I applied a received a call from Brian in the recruiting department. He introduced himself, said he had reviewed my applications and would like to set a time to talk about position for 30 minutes or so. We set a time for the next day and He called me at the agreed upon time.
We talked for 30 or 40 minutes about my resume, my prior job, why I was leaving, what attracted me to applying for Progressive and he explained what the company does and what the expectations of a TSR are. He took down all the notes and said the next step was a "virtual interview". He said he would be sending me a link to open on my computer. The link would consist of 5 questions and would record me, video and auto, for my response to each of the 5 questions. I received the link the next day and did the process of the video interview, answering the question later that night. The following week Brian called me back and said the hiring manager would like to have an interview with me. The TSR position is a remote position so we set a time to meet at a Starbucks. I met with the TSM and we talked for about 2 hours. We covered past experience, my resume, why I was leaving my current company, what Progressive leasing does, what the territory looks like, expectations, compensation and some other items. All was good and, like the process with Brian, it was a very positive experience and I enjoyed the conversation with the hiring manager.
I heard back from Brian a few days after that and he said all went well and the next step was to talk to the Regional Manager. He set a time up a few days after that and we talked on the phone for about an hour and covered the information I had gone over with Brian and with the hiring manager. It was again a very pleasant and positive call.
Brian called me back the day after the call with the Regional manager and said I may or may not need to talk to the Divisional manager. Brian called me back a few days later and said the talk with the Divisional manager was not needed and made an offer. I took the offer and filled out the needed information for the background check. The background check took about a week all in. After that I went to Draper Utah for a week of training.
The Process, took about 3 weeks total. It was about 2 weeks from the time I applied to the time I recived the offer and then about another week to clear the background check. It was very pleasant all the way through and Brian kept me updated and what was going on and what to expect. The question for the interview were all very straight forward and the interview was very conversational with Brian and both manager as opposed to just basic Q and A. All in all it was a great process.
