The interviewer asked more questions about my previous company than questions about my role and why I was interested in working for Purpose Financial. It felt as if they were making assumptions as to why I would want to work for Purpose, rather than letting me explain my interests. This, I believe, signaled a perceived misalignment and is what I believe prevented me from making it to the next round. I then received an automated rejection email, which I believe is disrespectful once a person has made it to the interview stage. When I then messaged the hiring manager for feedback, I was not given a response. So in general, this was just a negative interview process.
