      Administrative Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at QA (Slough, Berkshire, South East England, England) in Jan 2018

      Interview

First step was a phone interview with a HR Consultant - I received an email from HR asking me to call them or reply via email with my availability. I emailed back the same evening as I received the email outside of normal working hours and wanted them to know I was definitely interested. Didn't hear anything for the next few days and so I called the HR contact, who then proceeded with the phone interview there and then - thankfully, I had prepared for this beforehand! Very general, running through CV, not particularly organised. Consultant said my application would then be passed to the hiring manager, but that I shouldn't expect a quick response (due to Christmas holidays). A couple of weeks later I was asked by the HR contact for a suitable day/time for a face-to-face interview. Interviewer was polite and easy to talk to. I was expecting a competency-based interview but it was rather general, like an extended version of the phone interview. Interviewer said I should know the outcome by early/mid-week the following week. Didn't hear anything the following week, so I checked my online application "dashboard" to find the status had been changed to Unsuccessful. No direct contact from HR, by phone or email, and no interview feedback either which is a first in my experience - and by this time I couldn't be bothered to ask for any. Very unprofessional from any HR department, let alone one within such a big company.
