QA Gateway IT Consultant (Web/Mobile) Interview

      21 Aug 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at QA (London, England) in Aug 2015

      Interview

Phone aptitude test - easy Interview with 2 other applicants - got through. All good, exciting. UNTIL: Agreed they'd pay travel for first three months training, after which I'd be placed in a company with a capped salary of £18,000. Got all the way to almost buying my season ticket, called to double check, and was told they could only afford to pay half. After having expressly said which station I'd be travelling from, and to, to reach them before the payment was agreed, this was very sloppily handled and obviously hadnt been checked or budgeted for. Very unprofessional. A recruitment agent called me, many many times the week after after saying that they had upped the travel payments but I was very put off, also by the way they kept delaying the course start date in the first place because students were 'on holiday'. Dodgy dealings, avoid!
