I went through the full recruitment process with Qlik which included 4 interviews, an unofficial case study, and reference checks (they took five references). Despite this, I have been waiting for a final decision for over five weeks with no clear timeline, even though they initially said they were looking for someone by mid-February. Throughout the process, communication was inconsistent. The hiring team seemed unorganized—interviewers were unclear about my stage in the process, and there was no structured approach to evaluating candidates. The hiring manager was friendly but overwhelmed and unsure about what she was looking for. In one interview, I had to introduce myself and guide the conversation because I wasn’t asked relevant questions about my profile. Additionally, I was given an exercise that wasn’t officially part of the process, and my references were contacted without any concrete outcome. It feels like my time—and that of my references—was wasted.
