I had three rounds of interviews for a senior IT audit position, and everything went well. However, the HR team sent me an email to schedule a quick call for interview feedback. I took the time to set up the call, only to hear that they had decided to move forward with another candidate. Why not just send an email instead of wasting my time with a call? I performed well in the interviews, but I can't shake the feeling that the IT audit team director I spoke to was biased. Their interview process was disappointing. To make matters worse, they reposted the job after saying they had already found someone. A message to the hiring team: Please stop wasting people's time and be transparent about your decisions.
