About 2 and a half months ago, I had my initial interview with two HR representatives and a test lead. All three were women, and the interview went well. They were very sweet and friendly. The test lead asked quite a few technical questions, and I was able to answer most of them. They mentioned that if the interview went well, they would send a technical task. They sent the technical task a week later. They sent it on Friday and wanted it to be delivered by Monday. I think they should consider people's weekend plans.
The task consisted of 5 sections, and it wasn't easy to complete during the timeframe when I had weekend plans. After three weeks passed since I submitted the task and still didn't hear back, I sent a follow-up email. Unfortunately, I haven't received a response to the email yet. Regardless of whether the response is positive or negative, leaving my email unanswered feels disrespectful and unprofessional. It shows a lack of respect for the time and effort I invested in both the technical interview and task. I hope nobody else has to go through such a situation.
