Quick phone call w/ “head of peoples team”, or HR. Basic questions on my resume and summary version of what the company does, more of a call I’d expect for an entry level position which *shocker* this turned out to be.
I have to mention I was very put off as the recruiter asked my anticipated salary range, and after responding, was told it was “too high” and that this wasn’t actually a senior accountant role so wouldn’t be earning a senior salary, they just used the title to try to keep bookkeepers from applying as they were getting mostly bookkeepers applications. Maybe because you’re hiring a senior accountant/CPA position but on a bookkeepers salary??? But what would I know about any of this... I just have to put it out there to other potentials that this company is open to deceiving/lying to applicants w/ advertising senior titles that aren’t in reality senior roles, let alone paying appropriately for their title or experience level and needless to say one could reasonably assume you’ll be taken advantage of for the worse by a company like this.
