Went through two interviews. First one was essentially a screening where the recruiter did most of the talking about himself. Second was with the VP of Engineering, 20 minutes, felt more like an interrogation than a conversation. He was mostly grilling me about why I was exploring options. No discussion of the role, the organization, the team, or comp. Interview ended abruptly.
After the time was confirmed, "something came up" on their end and the interview was rescheduled. I accommodated a 6:30pm call on my end to make it work. That flexibility wasn't reciprocated in any way.
Over an hour of my time across two interviews and I walked away with zero visibility on what the role actually entails. Took the time to share constructive feedback after bowing out and got ghosted. Not even an acknowledgment.
If this is how they treat candidates, it's most likely representative of how the company operates. Don't waste your time.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Reach Security in Apr 2024
Interview
1. the 1st part of the interview is coding challenge on data transformation and even if the candidate gets most of it they are not given extra time over 20mins. Its either all or nothing with respect to the problem.
2.mysql or pandas language is not allowed even though recruiter mentioned any language can be selected and it is a data related problem.
3. if in 20 mins the candidate cant get the expected result ( all or nothing) the interviewer doesn't say another sentence nor anything about the company and abruptly ends the interview unlike what was motioned by recruiter( from the company) that rest of the interview time slot of an hour will be spent speaking about the company, product and the tech.
i have never experienced this before so was a bit of a shock that after 20 mins if a candidate can't provide the exact expected result ( I was very close to the result, just one part was missing) they will not let you complete and end the interview.
