Red Cube Production interview questions

I applied for the Digital Marketing Specialist position, got a phone interview, and on the phone the interviewer told me that the Paid Ads Specialist might be a better role for me. I agreed since it sounded like she wasn't going to hire me for the role I applied for. She then proceeded to tell me that they need to test me for the Paid Ads role, and gave me back end access and vague instructions to "show what I would change" about their ads. I had 2 days to do this. I was a bit overwhelmed and asked for clarification on the assignment - it didn't help. Finally, after spending 8+ hours researching, I turned in the assignment and NEVER HEARD BACK. It very unprofessional, starting with the phone interview then ghosting me after I completed hours of work for them.
