      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut (London, England) in Jul 2020

      Interview

It was four stage process that lasted about a month. First, was the 'Revolut Ops Analytical Test', it's a standard 21 questions (60 min) test from HackerRank. A few day later I had an interview with their HR to check the cultural fit. Then I was asked to complete a Home Task composed of two scenarios, this one was quite difficult and took me several days to process the data, analyse it, and send a report. Finally, I had a meeting with the person that would be in my team. That meeting was on zoom (covid times) and it was quite unprofessional. The interviewer (Joao Alves) took the meeting while laying down on his coach/bed. He was not interested in our conversation, and it was palpable he was eager to dismiss me. Three days later I received an email saying they would not progress further. I asked for detailed feedback to learn from my mistakes, but they only responded after two weeks with very generic comments from HR like 'there wasn't enough explanation about the solution' which lacked any insights. I had a friend apply for the same role a few days later and I coached through the whole process. The nailed every step of the way and they still came back saying they were not interested. We later learned that Revolut always says they are hiring, but in reality that is to keep appearances, and because it keeps a constant in-strem of applications for when they do need to hire. Apply at your own risk that you may be within a cycle when they are not actually hiring, but they say they do.

      Question 1

Some basic SQL queries, some background experience and this one, "On first day at the job, CEO asks you to double revenue or cut costs by half, how would you do it?"

      Interview

very basic interview, the interviewer wasn't in the same country, so she didn't have enough knowledge about the regulatory process. Questions were very basic and interview was short and friendly.

      Interview

The entire interview process took 8 weeks starting from when my application was sent. The process begins with a short online test, then a half hour call with the recruiter, and then a call with a senior ops manager for a problem-solving case study interview. After this last interview, I did not receive any feedback or reason as to why I failed, but I suspect this is because my answers did not match with whatever list of answers the interviewer was allowed to accept. Overall, it was a decent interview process although I found the interviewers hard to connect with.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Revolut in Mar 2022

      Interview

Standard HR screening call, followed by ‘problem solving’ interview. Problem solving interview was fairly pitched, tasked with improving CSAT score of a fictional airport. Interview was conducted at 1900 with interview in same time zone. This made me recall other reviews highlighting poor work life balance. Interviewer could not have looked less interested in my responses. It was conducted virtually and he was gazing around the room wherever he was - embarrassingly rude and infuriating. When I called him out on this, he brushed it off and tried to move on. Glad I didn’t get an offer if that’s how hiring managers treat candidates.
