A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn, and we scheduled a video interview. The interview was with the CTO and a lead engineer. It was a good interview overall, conversational and they seemed engaged and interested. They liked me and we scheduled an in-person interview for the following week. The day before the in-person interview, I emailed the recruiter to confirm the time and location. The recruiter responded by saying the interview had been canceled. Cancelling an in-person interview the day before it's supposed to happen is very unprofessional and disappointing. They're lucky I emailed the recruiter, otherwise I would have just showed up and it would have been quite awkward.
