I applied for a position online and had a very short call with HR. They decided to bring me in for an 2 hour in person interview, which I thought was odd that they wanted to bring me in for such a long in person interview without having a phone interview with any managers. Everything was switched around many times, but when I came in I met with two different people for 30 minutes each. One of the people would be a team member on client services and one of the people was a director. Neither was a hiring manager, and they mentioned they would have to bring me back in to speak with them. The first person who was a team member that I spoke with was nice and we talked about my experience and the position. Then the director came in. He came into the room, was very abrasive, said hello and shook my hand and then said he would start quizzing me on what I know about programmatic. I work in digital advertising so I know a lot about it, however every company uses different terms, vendors, processes, etc. So he put me on spot and had me show how I go through a proposal for a client start to finish. I gave an example of a recent campaign I did and starting writing on the board. He was very abrasive and kept firing questions when I was in the middle of talking and I wasn't prepared for the jargon and terms he was going to throw at me. I wasn't told to be prepared with anything like that at all, and for an account management/client facing position I would have been trained to learn their processes and terms. I had to show myself out after the interview. Noone ever responded with follow up, and I never got to see any of the office.
