I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Rubin Pomerleau (Boston, MA) in Feb 2022
Interview
This was a highly unprofessional interview. The majority of the time one of the partners was interviewing was less about creating rapport and dialogue and more about how “great” the firm is. There were also many rapid fire questions about immigration law throughout the first half of the interview.
The overall tone of the interview was condescending and I was cut off multiple times. I brought up topics including training, work life balance, and salary, but these questions were not taken seriously or scoffed off by the interviewing attorney. Towards the end of the interview, another attorney came in and both proceeded to talk about me as if I was not in the room. This lasted for about an hour and a half.
There were discussions about a second interview, but I received no further correspondence. Nearly a month later, I received a separate email through a job engine inquiring if I would be interested in the position I had already interviewed for. This reflects poorly on the firm as a whole.
