Completely ghosted by the recruiter after the final interview with management, during which I was told I would “definitely be hearing from the recruiter.” I was more than qualified and all of the interviews generally went well. (Even if they hadn’t, at that stage, some form of response/closure is expected.) I politely followed up with the recruiter twice in the weeks that followed, but got no response at all. The day of my first follow-up, they pulled down the US banking reporter position I had applied to and posted two India-based “news writer” positions covering the US banking industry, with essentially a copy/paste of the job description I had applied to. If their objectives for this position had changed after they started interviewing, I could understand that. But the shifty way they went about things, and the disrespect shown by ghosting a candidate who has gone through four rounds of interviews, is probably reflective of how they do a lot of things.
