I was contacted by the company recruiter 2 days after applying and scheduled for an initial phone screen. The call confirmed everything I had already researched about the company, and I felt I'd be a great asset to the company. I was immediately scheduled for a coworker interview while on the phone screen call. The coworker interview was going well until the last 10-15 mins of the hour when a text document was provided with sample tables and columns written out. Below that were 5-6 questions. I was then asked to verbally provide the scripts needed to answer those questions. I was unable to complete the task, being that I was not prepared for a test, had little time, and no outlet to write these up. I would say if you interview for a similar position, be prepared and have your own notepad or sql instance opened. Being ambushed with a test is not fun.
