Interview

###
➡️ Steps 3 and 4 in the process do take a bit longer than expected, but they allow for more specific questions that benefit everyone involved.
➡️ I must say that steps 1 through 4 were excellent and genuinely well-conducted. The interviewers were friendly and focused on understanding your strengths and the value you could bring to the company.
➡️ However, when it came to the offer stage, HR stepped in, and I was left deeply disappointed. Despite stating my expected salary during step 1, they made an offer 20% lower. I tried to be flexible by suggesting a figure 10% below my original expectations, but that’s when I noticed a concerning lack of preparation.
➡️ HR gave a long-winded response, lasting about 15-20 minutes, promising a future renegotiation of my package, assuring me of their trustworthiness, and insisting that there would be no false promises. However, they didn’t specify whether the adjustment would happen in three months or in twenty years, nor did they outline any KPIs that would be used to determine it.
➡️ For my onboarding week at their headquarters in Strasbourg, they booked me into a hotel 30 minutes away by bus, where the showers were located outside the rooms—a type of hotel that’s arguably the worst you can find in France.
➡️ Overall, the interviews were excellent until the new HR intervened with a backward way of treating future employees.
