I had a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience interviewing with two of the engineering managers at Seccl. I've never before considered stopping an interview in the middle of it, but oh well, it happened!
The two people that interviewed me were extremely unprofessional and borderline rude. Not only were they late after cancelling my interview once before and rearranging at very short notice, but also they immediately set out a very rushed pace. They didn't even let me catch my breath in between questions.
Also, I am very positive they hadn't read my CV, and were not particularly sure which position I applied for, since the questions I was asked were very focused on skills required in a different position. Half of the interview was spent in drilling in as much detail as possible into my last role's processes and no, I don't mean it in a way where they could understand more about me as an individual contributor as part of a team. At some point I wondered two things - am I getting into the NDA territory of my old job and am I doing consulting for Seccl so they can improve their own processes after this interview? Sure it felt so!
And my favourite - 'we will be back in touch with you regarding the outcome and the feedback of this if you are unsuccessful'. Can you guess if they were?
