Interview process was straight forward and took 3-4 weeks, involving an HR screening interview to see how good a fit you are and talk about yourself etc etc. Second one is more technical and was with the founder of the company (Stuart) discussing your experience etc. This stage was somewhat strange for me as he had access to my CV on hand and would/should have presumably looked at it before the meeting, yet asked me questions which point blank were answerable as a yes/no from my CV.
Regardless, I made it through and onto the task, which was to expand on preliminary market research on the viability of a new/modified product launch that targetted the market for high rise buildings, coming from new legislation changes that took place after the Grenfell Incident.
Finally, an in person interview was done presenting my submission and answering questions to Stuart and finally receiving a tour of the facilities and a description of the kind of work and space I would be working with. I was ghosted and never received feedback, even from the recruitment agent who I had been regularly chatting to. I never once said anything outrageous, and the only point of discrepancy would have been salary demands which were 34000-36000 GBP/pa offered vs 37000-38000 asked for (based on my prior position, yet reiterating salary flexibility).
Quite disappointing considering it took me 1h20min to commute there from where I was temporarily living at the moment, and around 30GBP travel expenses including a train coach ticket, 2 bus tickets in the city and 2 bus/van shuttles within Woking. Being ghosted at that stage quite frankly ranks as one of the most unprofessional thing I've encountered so far while looking/applying for jobs.
