I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Sentara Health (Newport News, VA)
Interview
It was a panel interview with lots of questions. Everyone was very nice and gained lots of clarity.
I learned alt and was grateful for the leaders in the room sharing their expectations and concerns.

Interview
I applied for a position in early February and, unfortunately, had a frustrating experience throughout the entire hiring process. After submitting my application, I didn’t hear anything for several weeks. When I was finally contacted, it was late on a Friday afternoon (around 3 PM ET) with an invitation to complete a one-way video interview due by Sunday. This felt inconsiderate of candidates’ time, requiring last-minute availability over a weekend with little notice.
This pattern continued throughout the process - each outreach from the recruiter came late on a Friday for something expected the following Monday, leaving minimal time to prepare. I also requested interview preparation materials but received no response beyond calendar confirmations.
What stood out most was the lack of communication and transparency. I never once had a live conversation with the recruiter, and it took nearly a month to understand which team or department the role supported. I was initially told only two executives were involved and no additional steps would be required, yet another round was later added without explanation.
Additionally, both interviews - with the executive assistants and the executives - followed the exact same questions in the same order, making the conversations feel scripted and impersonal. Compensation was also never discussed at any stage - neither my expectations nor the company’s range were addressed.
After nearly three months in process, I completed what was described as a final interview and was told a decision would be made that week. There was no follow-up or feedback. Despite following up with both the recruiter and HR, I received no response. Over two weeks later, I was sent a generic rejection email with no acknowledgment of the time and effort invested throughout the process.
At this point, I’m left without closure and with a negative impression of the company’s respect for candidates’ time and communication standards. Based on this experience, I would not recommend applying.

Interview
Was invited to record myself answering questions on 1 minute timers about a month after applying. Went through 12 questions with no retries. Tried to follow up with the recruiter who just forwarded me to the hiring manager. Manager contacted me to schedule a panel interview. I was told by the manager that if I were to ask them a question they would just ask me if I had tried asking a co-worker first... Tried to follow up twice with the manager after the panel interview with no response. I reached out the recruiter again who just forwarded me to the manager again. Manager finally sent me a template rejection email that began with "good morning, afternoon" and addressed me by the wrong name. Unprofessional and they didn't care at all.
