      Public Relations Manager Interview

      7 Aug 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sleep Reset (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

I was asked to complete a task before even interviewing for the position. The tasks included: potential pitch angles (plural), media goals, what are the potential holidays that the company can capitalize on from now until the end of the year, and draft a pitch for the upcoming holidays. So if you feel like doing pro bono work feel free to apply to them. Of course, they provide instructions they want all of this done in 3 hours (to cover themselves). No one can do all of this in 3 hours... By the way after submitting all this, they ghosted. They don't offer benefits because the role is an independent contractor (this should have been a red flag). They're better off hiring an agency but they seem really cheap. Just save yourself the hassle and skip this company until they have something to provide in return.
