They never actually gave me an interview, or a call, or anything other than an email (which didn't read as super specific to my application), and yet as a 'design task' asked me to do what amounted to a full week's work doing a substantial branding job, with a FULL SUITE of designs and research, and after I submitted it to them, it took them 2 weeks to get back to me with a 'No', without any feedback, room for improvement or a reason.
I think its appalling behaviour, and exactly the type of spec work that agencies themselves constantly complain about, and here they are doing it to their potential hires – without an inkling of time investment on their behalf.
