I had an initial 15-minute call with the founder after which I was sent a take-home task at 10 PM same day — a complex dashboard project with features outside a typical frontend role. I still spent the entire next day completing it, making everything fully functional per their own README, and even attached a Loom video demo.
Then I heard nothing for a week. After chasing twice, I finally got a late-night rejection email claiming I’d missed features that were never mentioned in the requirements. It was clear they hadn’t even looked at the Loom video or the code properly.
The whole experience came across as careless, unstructured, and disrespectful of candidates’ time. The long delays, poor communication, and arbitrary feedback reflect a serious lack of professionalism and work-life balance. Definitely not worth the effort.
