you apply about 4 months before and hear close to the start of the internship. They do a phone interview first then fly you out for an in person interview with a recruiter and the manager. They ask the normal questions and make it very easy to feel relaxed.

Make sure you know about the company values, mission, and some history. Make sure you know about the department you’re interviewing for. They will most likely ask “Why Southwest?” or “Why this department?”

Easygoing! Very conversation like. There was a phone interview and then I was asked to come to headquarters for an in person interview. They flew me in and the interview was very personable.
