I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Jun 2013
Interview
After submitting a resume online, a recruiter called me for a brief conversation about my college experience and why I wanted to work for Southwest. He followed up with a second phone call requesting I come in for a face-to-face interview, where the recruiter facilitated the 45-minute interview with the department head. I took an editing test (the position requires knowledge of editing marks, proofreading, and grammar) in a separate room after the interview, and heard back from the Company a month later. The process is very seamless, but few people get called back. If the phone rings from Southwest, answer it.

Interview
The interview was a one-way video recording. I was given three attempts and 5 minutes overall with the six questions. It felt awkward- like I was doing a video audition instead of an interview. I appreciated the speed of the process. I heard back the following week whether I had gotten a role. I couldn't ask the interviewer questions or ask for clarification directly, making the interview more difficult for me. The answers were also timed, but generously so.

Interview
Great questions and feedback during interview process. Staff was very clear about their expectations for the role and accommodating my schedule to ensure there was ample time to conduct the interview. The interview was panel style, so multiple staff were involved during the interview process.

Interview
I was contacted by an HR recruiter via email to schedule a 20-30 minute phone interview. I was allowed to pick a few different times from a list. The recruiter was very nice and professional, but did call a few minutes late. She asked some of the basic phone interview questions but also several more difficult interview questions. She also gave more information about the position and functions and everything.
